Easter Presents

Today I made some small Easter presents for family and friends. Main part of the presents are a pile of home made coconut pralines after this recipe:

  • 100g cream
  • 25g butter
  • 200g white chocolate
  • 200g desiccated coconut
  • ca. 25 hazelnuts or almonds

First let cream, butter and chocolate melt and stir until it is a homogeneous mass. Then add 125g of the desiccated coconut and mix it with a hand blender.

Let the mass set inside the refrigerator for at leas two hours. You may leave it there overnight if you want to continue the next day.

Take the mass out and form it to little balls. Press one hazelnut or almond (what you like better) in every ball and cover the hole with some more of the mass.

Form the balls in until they are evenly round and roll them in the remaining desiccated coconut until they are covered.

Enjoy!

I looked for these little, clear plastic bags to put the pralines in but found them nowhere to buy. So I simply used those thin paper bags you use to put your sandwiches in. You can decorate them with crayons, stickers or – like I did – with some sort of colored ribbon. After I distributed the pralines and some bought sweets into to bags I even had some delicious leftovers.
